Three new scenarios will be included in the expansion: "The Fall of Rome", focusing on the decline of the Roman Empire "Into the Renaissance", focusing on religion in the Middle Ages into the Renaissance era and "Empire of the Smokey Skies", a Victorian steampunk scenario. Additionally, the combat system has been re-worked to include smarter AI, an expanded early modern era, and enhanced naval combat featuring Great Admiral and melee naval units. Despite some of the shortcomings mentioned, the Civilization V: Gods and Kings expansion is a worthy addition to the Civilization library, and most players of vanilla Civilization V should find. Civilization V: Gods and Kings will also include nine new civilizations, nine new wonders, three original scenarios, and dozens of new units, buildings, and techs that will offer even more ways for players to expand their empire and dominate the world. A host of new civilizations, ranging from Pachacuti s Incas to the Hunnic Empire of Attila, are poised to stake their claim as the most dominant civilization in the history of the world. City-states will also feature a new quest system and strategic importance.
